Sites, accounts & licenses

Understand activation, saved content, collaboration, transfers, recovery and the services currently paused for rollout.

Start with a template

Preview a template, then choose Open in Editor. Sign in with the account that will own the site. If you started without an account, use the original browser to keep that site in your account; a link alone does not give someone else its ownership.

A draft, an activated license, synced content and a published website are different states. Check the labels in Sites. Keep the original browser data until your content is synced; local draft changes are not a cloud backup.

Buy and activate licenses

New StackLiberate purchases are currently paused. Lemon Squeezy store approval is not the same as enabling checkout here. Prices and packs describe the approved offer, not an active purchase button.

Purchases & licenses shows the checkout offers that are currently enabled, your confirmed purchases and your available balance. Packs contain 1, 3 or 10 site licenses. Licenses do not expire. Taxes and the final total are shown at checkout.

Buying a pack adds licenses to your account; it does not activate every draft. In Sites, select Activate, review the website, and confirm Use one license for this site. One license stays with that site. A transferred site does not give the sender another license.

After activation, return to the editor to sync your local document. Do not discard your browser data just because payment is confirmed. Save version records a named checkpoint; restoring a version keeps the safety checks and history in the editor.

If payment or activation is not confirmed, check the original request. Do not pay again to fix a pending result. A successful checkout return is not itself confirmation that a license was granted.

Before exporting

Save and confirm the current content before requesting an export. Unsupported or incomplete active forms must be configured with a supported destination or hidden where the template supports that action. A form in a static export still needs its intended external service; this guide does not supply a form backend.

Some older templates do not expose the same controls as Canonical-ready templates. If the editor cannot resolve an output-readiness issue, keep your work and contact support or choose a compatible starting template. Do not bypass an export validator or treat local browser storage as a cloud backup.

Collaborators and transfer

The owner opens Manage access to invite a collaborator or transfer ownership. Invitations are addressed to a specific email account. Pending invitations can be cancelled or resent; sending one does not change ownership.

Collaborators can edit, save and use the operations shown by their site permissions. The owner controls membership, ownership, licenses, site deletion and hosting connections. Publishing requires the owner’s explicit permission. This is not simultaneous multiplayer editing.

To deliver a website, choose the transfer invitation and optionally Keep access as a collaborator. The recipient reviews and accepts using the invited account. New recipients can sign up and return to the invitation after email confirmation.

Acceptance transfers the same site, content, versions and its activated license. Unused licenses and the sender’s private purchase details do not transfer. The former owner has only the access explicitly retained after acceptance.

Invitation emails may be paused independently of the workspace. Check the invitation’s actual status; do not assume an email was delivered just because an invitation was created.

Publishing and domains — not yet available

In-app publishing is currently paused. The approved Publish Now → Claim → OAuth → Republish design is not implemented in this release. Do not look for a working Claim My Website flow or connect an account expecting that future flow to be available.

The intended design starts with publishing on StackLiberate’s Vercel account, followed by a separate official project transfer accepted by the customer. Customer OAuth would then authorize future updates to that same project. This is an architecture description, not instructions for an available interface.

Courtesy-hosting duration, reminders and end-of-hosting terms remain to be finalized before the service opens. No automatic project transfer, hosting period, domain continuity or SSL outcome is promised by this guide.

ZIP export is independent of in-app publishing and still requires an eligible activated site. If you host an export yourself, use the chosen provider’s current domain and DNS instructions and keep the domain under your control. Never share your registrar password with StackLiberate.

Hosting after a transfer

A StackLiberate Handoff transfers the site inside StackLiberate. It does not by itself transfer a Vercel project, account, domain registration or billing agreement. The separate hosting Claim flow is not yet implemented.

Do not give a recipient the professional’s credentials. Agree who controls any existing external hosting; do not assume accepting a site invitation has changed it.

Disconnecting StackLiberate does not delete a provider account or an externally hosted website. Manage that provider’s resources and billing directly with the provider.

Sign-in, recovery and session changes

Email confirmation and recovery links open Continue before using the one-time token. Use the newest message. Completing confirmation on your phone does not sign in your desktop automatically; sign in there with the verified account.

Settings lets you inspect your sign-in methods and verify access before sensitive changes. Social sign-in reauthentication uses that provider, not a made-up password. Password inputs are not retained in browser storage.

If your session changes while editing, the editor hides the previous account’s work and preserves its local draft. Sign back into the same account and explicitly recover access. A different account does not inherit that draft.

A temporary connection or authentication-service outage is not a logout instruction. Protected work pauses until access can be checked. A 403 permission failure is different from an expired session; repeatedly signing in cannot grant a permission you do not have.

Email changes and app security notices are currently paused. Social verification is available only where its provider is configured; an unavailable verification method does not authorize the sensitive action. Account sign-in uses the existing Auth and SMTP configuration.

Recover your own content

Sites → Recover content provides a read-only copy of your authored text and referenced uploaded media. It does not generate the commercial template website, scripts or layout. It is available to the current owner when ordinary paid operations are suspended, subject to account access checks.

Saved content comes from the server. Check my local draft reads only this account’s copy in this browser and offers its retained text and available media. Retained edits can include older or undone values; they are not a reconstruction of the current screen. Downloads do not Save, Restore, transfer or delete the draft.

Older browser data without an account label stays quarantined. Do not clear browser storage or let a new account adopt it. Contact support with the site reference so ownership and the original source can be checked before any assisted recovery. Do not send the raw database, passwords or session tokens.

Already downloaded files are not recalled. Media downloads preserve original bytes and may use a .bin filename; use the original image or video extension when saving them.

Refunds and license status

An entirely unused purchase can request a full refund within 14 days, when refund requests are enabled. A partly used pack does not offer automatic proportional refunds; its remaining licenses stay available without expiry. Billing mistakes and justified exceptions can be reviewed separately.

During a refund check, affected unused licenses may be reserved. The provider’s confirmed result controls the financial status; returning from a form or seeing a local success message does not prove a bank refund.

If a confirmed refund affects a consumed license on your own site, paid operations can be suspended without deleting your content or removing files already delivered. Recover your own content or use the regularization option shown for that site.

A site already transferred to another owner is handled through the documented financial review, not silently deleted to settle the original buyer’s refund. Partial refunds and disputes are reviewed against the actual order and affected units, not treated as free replacement licenses.

Delete your account

Account deletion is currently paused. The following policy describes the implemented lifecycle when separately enabled; a disabled control does not schedule deletion.

In Settings, review the deletion summary, verify your access, and confirm the consequences. It shows owned sites, collaborations, unused licenses, invitations and open financial cases. Scheduling starts a seven-day period, not immediate deletion.

During the period, you can inspect status, cancel and recover eligible content. New purchases, activation, editing, publishing and transfers are paused. Cancel the scheduled deletion to resume ordinary work.

Once irreversible processing has begun, cancellation is no longer promised. The screen shows processing or a recoverable problem. Your unused license balance is forfeited on completed deletion; this does not automatically create a refund.

Sites already transferred to other owners survive. Your collaborations and pending invitations are removed. Externally hosted sites, domain registrations and provider accounts are not deleted by this action.

Required economic identifiers and investigation records may be retained under the configured retention policy; account deletion is not a promise to erase provider records or backups instantly.

An operation needs attention

Use Check original request or the status control shown beside the operation. Keep its non-secret reference. Pending means we have not confirmed the outcome; it does not mean you should repeat a purchase, password change, transfer or publication.

Contact support with the operation or purchase reference, the action you expected and the approximate time. Never send a password, full card number, recovery link, API key or session token. Support may need to reconcile a provider result before changing the displayed status.
